Members of theServiceNow family are considered subject matter experts responsible for theanalysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of allcomponents within the ServiceNow platform. ServiceNow team members work closely with Leadership, other teammembers, Process Owners, IS, and Operational teams to ensure thatadministration and implementation are conducted per policy, procedures, andbest practices.


The ServiceNowArchitect is responsible for all activities related to the development andmaintenance of the system. Using agileprinciples, they manage, prioritize, plan and assign tasks to the team.  They understand and support the strategicdirection of MemorialCare and work closely with other teams to make sure theServiceNow platform is working optimally for end users.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

  • Responsible for the ongoing assessment, design, development and implementation of efficiencies and improvement of standard processes and new procedures by use of advanced ServiceNow functionality, including: client and server side scripting, UI policies, automated testing framework, HTML/CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, AngluarJS, Jelly Scripting, MID server setup, ACLs, Orchestration, and APIs.
  • Initiates, facilitates, and leads meetings with end-user and internal staff members.  Acts as user liaison between professional departments and ServiceNow Family; leads others to adhere to established industry best practices, standards, and quality.
  • Apply in-depth build knowledge of ServiceNow ensuring optimal use of the current platform
  • Thorough understanding of ITIL principles
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging data technologies
  • Identify and resolve complex problems and issues associated with the ServiceNow
  • Maximize the maintainability of the ServiceNow platform
  • Design, development, and implement, ServiceNow integrated testing and training
  • Transform business and technical requirements into implementation plans and develop technical specifications
  • Act as user liaison between professional departments and ServiceNow Family
  • Deliver efficiencies and improvements of standard processes and new procedures
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and fix ServiceNow issues



    • Minimum 7 years of ServiceNow developmentexperience required
    • Minimum of 2 full lifecycles of ServiceNowimplementations in a lead role demonstrated
    • Past success with programming expertise in Java,JavaScript or other similar functional programming language
    • Provenprogressive project management experience working independently as wellas in a team situation meeting aggressive deadlines
    • Pastexperience leading projects requiring an end-to-end workflowperspective, a high-level overall understanding of ServiceNow, and considerableknowledge of ServiceNow end users
    • Demonstrated use of relevant “out of the boxthinking” in conjunction with organization wide standardization
    • Experience working in a fast-paced environmentwith minimal supervision and managing multiple priorities
    • Proven ability in workflow and data analysis anddesign techniques, including needs assessment, specification development,quantitative methods, planning and gap analysis
    • Past success leading meetings between businessstakeholders, technical resources, and third parties for business requirementsand technical solutions
    • Experience working with a diverse,multi-disciplinary team, and interacting with all levels of the organization
    • Proven familiarity with relational databases
    • Experienced planning and organizing day-to-dayactivities
    • Demonstrated use of effective communication andinterpersonal relations to achieve established goals


    • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combinationof education and relevant experience required
    • ITIL certification preferred
    • ServiceNow Administrator certification required
    • Project Management certification(PMP, CSM, etc.) preferred
