Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced paralegal with over three years of experience to assist our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and closings.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case preparation.
  • Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and accessible.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, witnesses, and court officials.
  • Prepare and manage discovery documents, including interrogatories and requests for production.
  • Summarize depositions, medical records, and other documents.
  • File documents with the court and serve legal papers.
  • Maintain and update attorney calendars, scheduling appointments, court dates, and deadlines.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing trial binders.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as billing, timekeeping, and office management as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or legal department.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and software (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
