Job Description

A Hartford law firm is looking for a temporary admin as soon as possible. This assignment will last into June. Some of the responsibilities include:   Answers all incoming telephone calls and transfers, without screening, as appropriate.  Provides phone back up for assigned office for lunch/breaks.  Greets visitors, initials and clients, acting as office host/hostess, offering beverages as appropriate.  Keeps copiers stocked with paper at all times.  Handles all copier service requests which include ordering supplies and scheduling service.  Keeps lobby, conference rooms, break room, file rooms and all common areas neat at all times.  Copies client files upon the request of the client and/or attorney and legal assistant including closed files at no charge. Client/previous client to sign for received original using Receipt of File form.  Arranges for courier service and process servers as directed by attorney or legal assistant.  Responsible for scanning and filing of documents for closed files.  Obtain and disseminate all incoming mail.  Assists with monitoring mail and faxes for dates to calendar.  Ensure all outgoing mail is deposited in drop box per building post office schedule.
