Our client, an American Fortune 500 corporation that designs, manufactures, and distributes engines, filtration, and power generation products, is currently seeking a Cost Accountant for a 4+ month temporary position. The position is located in Fridley, Minnesota. Pay Rate: $18.00-$20.00 Responsibilities for this position will include the following: • Analyzing and communicating financial information for clients. • Prepare, examine or analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems. • Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements. Position Requirements: • A degree is not required to be considered for this short-term role. The manager is more concerned with securing a candidate with relevant working experience. • Candidates with 2+ years’ experience in straight accounting is what we are looking for – for this opening. • Attention to detail is extremely important for this position. • Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed • Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting would be a nice-to-have. If the selected hire did have any questions related to this, the hiring manger would be able to assist with anything related to this requirement. • This team uses Oracle - ideally any candidate submitted for consideration would at least have some experience or exposure to this tool. • Proficiency with MS Excel and Word is required. Additional information from the manager: • The manager shared that this is a short-term need for her team to help with coverage for someone out on maternity leave currently. The person whom is out is expected to return to work in September – at this time, it is not anticipated that this position will be extended beyond September. • This is a Monday – Friday position with the core working hours for the team being 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. As long as the selected hire is there during the core working hours, the manager shared she is flexible on the start/end times for this person. • IMPORTANT: The hiring manager is going to be out of the office for two weeks in June: 6/17 – 6/28/19. During these two weeks, the selected hire will need to be working as they both can’t be out of the office. Any other time out of the office other than these two weeks the manager said she can accommodate. • When the manager is ready to interview, depending on the candidate, she may just ask for an on-site interview for the first round. Otherwise, she will first be looking to schedule phone screens – candidates whom do well during a phone screen will be asked to come in to meet with her. **Important information: This position is recruited for by a remote Kelly office, not your local Kelly branch.
