Overview

John Bean Technologies Corporation (JBT) is a leading global technology solutions provider to high-value segments of the food and beverage industry with focus on proteins, liquid foods, and automated guided vehicles. JBT designs, produces, and services sophisticated products and systems for multi-national and regional food companies through its FoodTech segment. JBT also sells critical equipment and services to domestic and international air transportation customers through its AeroTech segment.

JBT AeroTech manufactures and services airport ground support equipment (plane de-icers, aircraft tow vehicles and cargo loading systems), airport gate equipment (Jetway brand), and military equipment.

The Sales Administrative Assistant will provide a full range of administrative duties and support for the Sales and Service Departments. This includes support in the areas of reports, customer service and satisfaction, contracts, report, and proposal preparation. This is a temporary position in our Warrenton, OR facility.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the customer database, provide support to system users, and generate reports as needed
  • Prepare reports
  • Track and compute sales opportunities for the sales team
  • Coordinate trade show appearances, including completing registration paperwork, tracking costs, scheduling the show leader, shipping of brochures and machines, and ensuring that everything for a successful trade show is managed well
  • Complete general administrative tasks: maintain a filing system; prepare shipments & corresponding documents; distribute website inquires to the appropriate person; answering phones; drafting/mailing letters; and handle any other special projects and requests as needed
  • Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment
Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of administrative experience
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft products, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards by properly using protective equipment, safe operation of all machinery, tools, and equipment as well as following safety rules at all times
