M.R.I Technician job in New Haven at Ultimate

As a member of the Radiology Team within New Haven, to perform MRI studies.  Manage the scanner and all aspects of the imaging procedure.  Assist in providing coordinated and compassionate care at every patient encounter. Monday-Friday 8:30-5pm. 

Essential duties: Perform specialized testing procedures appropriate to specialty (M.R.I.) in radiology.Review patient chart, patient condition, and physician's order to plan and determine method of testing.
Position patients. Set up, operate and maintain equipment to conduct tests and procedures. Read and interpret images during tests to determine if equipment adjustments are needed to obtain desired images. 
Provide information to patients concerning specific tests and procedures.
Process films and duplicate films.  Prepare images for analysis.
Instruct and act as a source of information on testing techniques, procedures and equipment operation.  Enforce magnetic field safety for MRI patients, staff, visitors, vendors and other equipment.Experience and TrainingSix years of related work experience; four of them in the same job family at the next lower level and a high school level education; or four years of related work experience and an Associate's Degree; or little or no work experience and a Bachelor's Degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Graduate of an AMA/AART approved school of Radiology Technology. 
Current licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
Certification as an M.R.I. technician
