A fantastic opportunity to join an IT team as a Technical Support & Business Solutions Engineer, reporting to the CIO.

Our client needs a driven, detail-oriented team player to support our growing operation and create an internal technology program and serve as their new IT Manager. The success of our business is because of the talented people working here. This position requires that the individual work daily in our office and offers the opportunity to collaborate extensively with their London office.
This is a great opportunity for someone that wants to get involved in process improvement, strategy and business operations, in addition to being an IT generalist -- experience with supporting operating systems, network administration, phone systems, servers, printers, workstations, providing helpdesk support, etc. This isn't your typical IT position, it's helping to develop IT strategy for the business, implementing solutions that drive automation and efficiency both in IT and throughout the organization, and managing a key function of the business along with the IT budget.
Daily Support Responsibilities: This role is responsible for our computer systems, software maintenance and repair. Assists with computer equipment purchasing and installation, maintains networks and connectivity for all IT systems to the highest standard, supporting users with their IT issues. Involvement in projects to improve operational excellence and implementing IT digitization to increase business value.
  • Supporting users with the introduction of new technology
  • 24x7 On-Call Rotation during which off hours support is provided
  • Remote Access support from company laptop / home PCs for all approved users.
  • Supporting remote offices and associated companies within the group and home support
Upcoming Deliverables:
  • Create Support program for helpdesk, telecommunications, server, hosting and all other IT functions
  • MS SharePoint Integration
  • Partner with business teams for mobile software development and collaboration

Competencies & Education:
  • BS or higher in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or similar
  • 4+ years' experience in a Technical Support  role
  • Knowledge of Windows environments (Windows 7, 10 and server)
  • Network administration experience (managing switches, routers, firewalls, wifi, networking protocols, etc.)
  • Telecommunications support experience with desk and mobile phones (Yealink preferred or other VoIP based systems)
  • MS SharePoint
  • Break-fix and overall technology office support
