This is a regular, full-time ELA teaching position for the 2024-2025 School Year at Magnolia Middle School. Magnolia Middle is a Grade 6-8 Middle School with ~400 students.

QUALIFICATIONS: Individuals who are eligible or possess Teacher of English certification are encouraged to apply. Internal candidates must apply online for a transfer as an internal candidate and submit a letter of interest and an updated resume. Applicant must meet State of Delaware certification requirements for English Education. Successful candidates must provide evidence of successful PRAXIS II scores or a valid out of state teaching license. Dual certification in special education preferred, but not required.

Out of State Candidates: An educator applying for a license in the State of DE with less than 1 year of experience will be placed on an Initial License and will be required to take and pass a Performance Assessment. Applicants with one completed year of experience, but less than 4 years of experience will receive an Initial License and may need to pass a Performance Assessment. The State of Delaware DOE may recognize standard certificates from all other states as a means of eligibility.

SALARY: In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and degree. Benefits package included.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
  • Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
  • All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
  • Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following: proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver's License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
