LA 411 Irvine, CA (Onsite) Full-Time

This is a Full Time position in the field of Post Production - Editing, Compositing, Motion Graphics, & Visual Effects, located in Los Angeles, CA.

The position pays $30.00 — $38.00 per hour.

Job Description

The Finishing AE’s primary function is to aid in the process of prepping and finishing content. You will work closely with the post-production team creating preps and final deliverables for clients. The candidate must have a thorough knowledge of deliverables, the ability to read spec sheets and the capacity to output final files to spec. This role is best suited to an AE who is technically skilled and wants to pursue a career as a finisher, rather than a creative editor.



Responsibilities & Duties

  1. Confirm with post-production team the deliverables needed for each project.
  2. Create shot requests and preps per client guidelines.
  3. Conform offline sequences with high-res footage, final GFX, and final mixes.
  4. Alert post-production team to any issues that need to be corrected.
  5. Compress cuts for producer and client approval.
  6. Execute confirmed deliverables list quickly and accurately once approved.
  7. QC final files, troubleshoot and fix any issues.
  8. Create music cue sheets, shot logs and scripts as necessary.
  9. Assist Editorial AE team when needed.


Requirements

  1. Prior entertainment marketing experience with an agency, network or studio.
  2. Enjoy multi-tasking with multiple daily deadlines.
  3. Must be organized and have excellent project setup and management skills.
  4. This position is on-site (4) days per week and (1) work from home day.
  5. Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.


Software

  1. Adobe Premiere
  2. Adobe Media Encoder
  3. Adobe After Effects
  4. DaVinci Resolve


Experience

  1. 4+ years of experience in an AE position in a post-production environment.
  2. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  3. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on the fly.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Additional Information

Regular business hours are Mon-Fri 10am to 7pm. However, you may be required to work 12pm-9pm shift. You must be able to work regular (paid) overtime, as our business is driven by our clients' needs. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. You must be able to make a daily commute 4x per week to Culver City, CA to be considered for this job.
