Senior Tax Analyst - Corporate income tax

Job Duties:

- This person will be a member of the tax team reporting to the Tax Director. The role will include income tax compliance, accounting for income taxes under IFRS, supporting tax audits, and various research projects.

- Assist in preparation and completion of US consolidated return and Canadian return including reporting of intercompany transactions per form 5472 and T106.

- Calculation of the new BEAT enacted under the TCJA.

- Timely completion and filing of consolidated, separate, or unitary state income and franchise returns, including quarterly estimated tax payments.

- Assist in preparation of quarterly tax provision estimates and local reporting in accordance with IAS 12.

- Interact with tax authorities to resolve return notices.

- Assist in gathering information for both federal and state tax audits.

- Maintain a reconciliation of responsible tax accounts.

- Ensure historical tax data is properly archived to support future tax audits.

- Assist Tax Director in other areas as may be required. 

Skills, Experience, Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, plus CPA or Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting

- Several years of income tax experience (corporate taxes) as a Tax Accountant, Tax Manager, Tax Analyst, etc

- Knowledge of U.S. corporate tax rules, including good understanding of accounting for corporate income taxes

- Ideally Public accounting/Big 4 or industry experience

- Experience with tax software solutions from Corptax will be a plus
