Quality Engineer Sr with Security Clearance

Description:This role will report to the site Quality Manager, rolling into the Production Quality team at Lockheed Martin RMS in Manassas, VA. The Quality Engineer Sr will support the Production Floor and Build activities and lead multiple programs as Quality Engineer. The role will consist of supporting defect trending, reviewing and disposition of defects, supporting Material Review Boards, and leading Corrective Action Boards for Work Centers. The Quality Engineer Sr will lead root cause and corrective/preventive actions associated with non-conformances and assist in implementing process improvements to enhance the Quality Inspection and Build process. In addition this role will lead Production Process Verification (PPV) activities with the Manufacturing Engineering team to ensure all drawing and specification requirements are met throughout Work Instructions and in the Build process.
The Quality Engineer Sr will ensure all processes are being followed per Command Media, Contract Requirements, and our AS9100 Standard through conducting audits and oversight of Production Activities on the Manufacturing Floor.
Basic Qualifications:
- Knowledge of MRP Systems (such as SAP or Solumina)
- Previous experience in Quality (Quality Engineering or Inspection)
- Understanding of standard Manufacturing Build Processes and implementation of Quality Requirements
- Ability to work well with cross functional team (i.e. Production Control, Manufacturing Engineering, Inspection. Engineering)
- Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
- Ability to obtain a clearance (US Citizen required)
Desired Skills:
