Job Details

We are seeking a CFO to lead financial operations, drive strategic financial planning, and ensure the long-term financial health and sustainability of a non-profit organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial practices supporting the organization's mission and vision.
  • Manage investments and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Supervise month-end closing and conduct reconciliations.
  • Prepare and present financial reports with analysis and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage external financial partners.
  • Lead annual budgeting process and monitor performance against budget.
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasting models for long-term planning.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance through Finance Committee leadership.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and mentor the finance team.
  • Collaborate on strategies supporting the organization's mission and goals.
  • Report financial performance to the Board of Directors and collaborate on policies.
  • Represent the organization at events, offering financial guidance and support.
  • Oversee tax filings and compliance to ensure adherence to laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in fund and nonprofit accounting.
  • Extensive experience in nonprofit/governmental sector, including A-133 compliance and grant management.
  • Proficiency in Excel and budgeting processes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • CPA certification preferred.
