Job Description
This role will manage a portfolio of projects aimed at increasing improvement science capability among improvement teams, increasing the extent of patient/family integration with our improvement efforts (co-production), and ensuring the implementation of identified evidence-based practices across our system. First, as our microsystems mature and focus more on quality, there will be an increased need to educate/train individuals in improvement science. Second, while we ask for patient/family feedback at our convenience and request through existing mechanisms (Family Advisory Council, Community Insights, etc.), we do not integrate patients/families into our improvement teams.
Experience
- Five years of experience in program development and project management
- Seven years of experience in healthcare
- Master's degree
- Pediatrics experience
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact or other current clinical Georgia license
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
- Ability to work and collaborate with groups and teams across departmental lines
- Demonstrated success in developing relationships with physician leaders
- Demonstrated fiscal responsibility
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal skills, including working collaboratively with groups or teams and employees at all levels within an organization
- Effective decision making and problem-solving skills
- Creativity in problem solving
- Influential leadership skills
- Partners with chief quality and patient safety officer, senior director, Quality and Patient Safety, and other system leaders to drive projects to improve quality and safety of care.
- Assists in the development and monitoring of quality strategic vision, annual goals, and department services.
- Partners with operational leaders in the development of a systematic approach to high reliability strategies and programs.
- Participates in the determination, definition, and periodic evaluation of the quality and patient safety program, using data to better understand strengths and weaknesses of the hospital and departments and to determine needs, decisions, and strategies.
- Drives effective and safe processes, ensuring efficient outcomes through collaboration with physicians, other departments, system leadership, and staff.
- Removes barriers and identifies patterns for improvement.
