About the Position

The Lane County Public Works Land Management Division seeks an extra help employee to join our team! Land Management, located at the Customer Service Center in Eugene, needs support with the following duties:
• Transcribing voicemail messages to shared call logs
• Data entry
• Scanning
• General office support, including filing and mail distribution
• Potential for answering phones and routing callers to the correct person 

Hourly Wage: $15.00

About the Division

The Land Management Division includes the following programs: Land Use Planning, Building and Electrical Code Administration, Sub-Surface Sanitation, and Code Compliance. The Division provides customer service in areas such as issuing planning, building, and septic permits; reviewing building plans; inspecting structures for compliance with state and national code standards and regulations; and responding to complaints of code violations. 

Schedule: Approximately 10-20 hours per week between the hours of: Monday – Friday; 9:00am– 4:00pm.

*This position is budgeted for a maximum of 520 hours per fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022 and ending June 30, 2023.

Special Requirements & Experience:
• Applicants must be 18 or older at time of hire
• Minimum typing skill of 40 wpm required
• Previous experience with office tasks, including:
  • Customer service
  • File management
  • Scanning
  • Record reports
  • Data entry
