The Product Manager will be a key leader in the establishment of a UnitedHealthcare center of excellence focused on the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence to streamline and improve stakeholder interaction with UHC.  This new role will drive the practical application of artificial intelligence, enabling our member and provider service teams across lines of business.



The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, creative, and versatile individual with experience designing, developing, and delivering a range of products and services, including direct to consumer approaches both within and outside of traditional healthcare models.



You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.



Primary Responsibilities:


  • Accountable for strategy and execution of the Virtual Assistant roadmap


  • Oversee the program project portfolio comprised of initiatives and projects – directing IT and Business resources on efforts and initiatives


  • Obtain capital funding for projects through matrixed environment

  • Prepare business cases and cost-benefit analysis (CBA) documents


  • Write business vision documents (BVD)



  • Analyze and define strategy to recommend to business stakeholders



  • Document processes and practices and analyze them



  • Issue identification and resolution



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree


  • 4+ years of experience as a Program Manager; that includes creating and delivering presentations



  • 2+ years of experience with management or leadership



  • 2+ years of experience with service channels; including Call, Web, Email, Social Media



  • Knowledge of the SDLC (including RSA and Agile)



  • Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of UHC’s lines of business (E&I, M&R, C&S, M&V)


  • Experience functioning in a matrix/shared services organization

  • Ability to influence with and without direct authority


  • Excellent communication, time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills



  • Skilled at problem solving, follow-through and resolution
