Sales Training Specialist

Central Bancompany Jefferson City, MO (On Site) Full-Time
Provides a broad variety of support to the Retail Department, Branch network, and Business Banking Departments. The Specialist works in a collaborative manner with the Retail Manager to improve sales and overall business growth by supporting the company's sales management initiatives and strategy. This position will provide influence and encouragement on sales leadership to take the branch sales culture to a higher level. This position will have an in-depth understanding of all company products and services, and the skills and knowledge required to recommend, sell, and open in a customer-centric manner. Partner with Branch Managers to improve the quantity and quality of employee sales activities. Help employees self-assess, self-discover, and feel self-motivated to grow, excel, and take greater responsibility for what they do. Provide ongoing feedback, develop knowledge, reinforce behaviors / skills, and strengthen relationships with employees. Collaborate with the Branch Managers to identify issues the employees are facing and create a learning path. Coordinate with Branch managers to create sales campaigns, contests, and incentives to drive results and motivate employees. Be a Salesforce resource for employees. Partner with the Salesforce Administration team to resolve sales and referral tracking discrepancies to ensure accuracy of results and incentive calculations. Perform various administrative duties to support the sales management program and retail department.

A minimum of one year of banking experience or sales management that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities preferred.

Familiarity with financial institutions products and services, policies and procedures preferred.

Must be able to work as a team player, but also possess the ability to work independently, while seeking management input as needed.

Willingness to assume additional responsibilities / duties / projects as they arise.

Strong interpersonal relations with the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others using excellent verbal, listening and communication skills to motivate behavior change.

Possess good judgement, ability to make decisions, research and solve problems. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong organization skills, attention to detail and excellent time management.

A basic understanding of operational procedures expected of branch employees.

Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software.
