A Brief Summary of This Position

This incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the work site and conduct minor repairs, routine maintenance, preventinve maintenance, cleaning and other special projects as necessary.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain an incident log of all equipment and structural repairs both weekly and monthly
  • Perform facility inspections and reports on conditions affecting operations
  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Assembler, set up and move office furniture as needed
  • Maintain structures and fixtures such as windows, lighting, forklift batteries, painting, doors, basic plumbing and basic electrical work
  • Report all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor
  •  Assist with all inventory in the department and report any shortage or low inventory
  • Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor

  • Identify and report equipment abnormalities and safety hazards
  • Assist with housekeeping duties in shop and at work-site
  • Ablility to learn how to operate industrial equipments
  • Maintain an attitude that unlawful or unethical actions are not acceptable.
  • Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
  • Conduct business on behalf of the Company in full compliance with the laws of the many jurisdictions in which we operate

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of five (2) years of relevant experience
  • Ability to read and understand hydraulic and pneumatic valves and prints
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English
  • High awareness for safety with the ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and work in a non-temperature controlled environment, as well as with exposure to outdoors
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, although most frequent lift is up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to spend 75% of workday standing or walking, 10% bending or kneeling, 10% stooping, and 5% climbing
  • Climb and work from ladders

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications

  • 2 years of basic plumbing and electrical experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate problems or needs to departmental supervision
  • Ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a professional manner
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions
  • Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results

Working Envornment and Physical Efforts:

Climb and work from ladders, and roofs in excess of 80 feet. Able to balance; bend/stoop; climb stairs; crawl; crouch; climb ladders; kneel; push/pull; reach above shoulder; repetitive motion; squat, and feel. Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable. Complete repetitive movements. Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds. Requires the employee to work both inside and outside heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/air conditionsand around dust. Exposure to hazards in the work environemt such as chemicals, oil, power industrial vehicles
