Quality Control Apprentice

  • Product knowledge of various furniture types and supplies
  • Ability to assess damages and choosing appropriate methods of repair for wood furniture, leather, fabric, marble and upholstery.
  • Work with hands and tools to repair various types of furniture.
  • Maintain a neat and safe work environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Maintain a log of completed repairs
  • Operate tools such as power drills, sanders, saws and other tools required for repair.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed to assist in statistical record keeping.
  • Demonstrate high level of attention to detail and professionalism at all times.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.

There are 3 phases of the apprentice program.  Successful completion of each phase is a requirement to move on and remain in the program.  If an apprentice is unable to complete any of the 3 phases, (after multiple attempts) this could result in removal from the program.  

Qualifications

  • Previous experience assembling furniture or other goods or construction trade.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Desire to work and meet daily goals. 
  • Ability to follow process and direction given by trainer.
  • Ability to work under time constraints.
  • Flexible schedule for 9-12 months of training program.
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch for extend periods of time.
  • Must routinely life or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds.
