Product knowledge of various furniture types and supplies
Ability to assess damages and choosing appropriate methods of repair for wood furniture, leather, fabric, marble and upholstery.
Work with hands and tools to repair various types of furniture.
Maintain a neat and safe work environment.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Maintain a log of completed repairs
Operate tools such as power drills, sanders, saws and other tools required for repair.
Keep accurate records of work performed to assist in statistical record keeping.
Demonstrate high level of attention to detail and professionalism at all times.
Possess excellent organizational skills.
Excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.
Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.
There are 3 phases of the apprentice program. Successful completion of each phase is a requirement to move on and remain in the program. If an apprentice is unable to complete any of the 3 phases, (after multiple attempts) this could result in removal from the program.
Previous experience assembling furniture or other goods or construction trade.
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
Desire to work and meet daily goals.
Ability to follow process and direction given by trainer.
Ability to work under time constraints.
Flexible schedule for 9-12 months of training program.
High School Diploma
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch for extend periods of time.
Must routinely life or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds.
