Haven Behavioral Healthcare has an opening within our corporate office for an Assistant Vice President of Financial Services.
Haven Behavioral Healthcare operates seven acute-care psychiatric hospitals and outpatient clinics across the United States that offer a full continuum of care for anyone dealing with mental health and substance abuse issues, from young adults to seniors.
Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, Haven treats a complete array of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, personality disorders and many other illnesses. Our addiction treatment services include alcohol abuse, illicit drug addiction, and prescription drug use. Each facility is specially designed to provide a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment to begin the journey to better mental health.
Position Summary:
The Assistant Vice President of Financial Services is responsible for the oversight of hospital accounting and month-end close process and procedures, monthly financial analysis, and participation in the development of accounting, tax, and cost report work papers. This position oversees corporate hospital accountants which serve as the finance resource supporting the hospital CEOs. The position requires extensive interaction with Corporate and Hospital leadership teams.
Details:
- Seven (7) years accounting experience with an emphasis in healthcare
- Hospital accounting experience required; behavioral hospital experience preferred
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Strong knowledge/understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Medhost and Adaptive Planning software experience a plus
- Ability to interact and communicate professionally and appropriately
- Requires extensive problem solving capabilities
- Ability to compile information into professional format for financial reporting, audit and other accounting files
- Ability to monitor date-sensitive information
- Ability to build relationships with employees and vendors/consultants
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Education/Certification:
Bachelor s Degree in Accounting preferred, Finance or Other Business degrees considered with requisite experience. CPA required.
