We are seeking School Care Support Specialists to join the team at our Niles Campus in Kansas City, MO. The shifts will be either Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday 730am-4pm.
The School Care Support Specialist’s job is to provide support to the instructional program within an assigned classroom with specific responsibility of assisting the Lead Teacher in the supervision, care, and instruction of students in the classroom. The Specialist will assist in implementing plans for instruction, monitor student behavior and provide information to appropriate school and unit staff members. Additionally, the Specialist’s job will include unit responsibilities as needed. Must become familiar with the Employee Manual, Operations Manual and organizational policies and procedures. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program; ability to carry out lesson plans based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, teachers, parents and community; ability to speak clear and concisely in written or oral communication.
