The Nurse Director Maternal Child Health will work alongside a dedicated team at a 500+ bed acute care hospital in Connecticut to oversee the Women and Children’s Services. For over 100 years, this state-of-the-art hospital has continued to provide a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services to patients throughout Connecticut. Through innovation and research, this teaching hospital is dedicated to creating individualized patient care plans while utilizing the most advanced technology and techniques. The Nurse Director Maternal Child Health will work for an award-winning hospital, ranked Best Regional Hospital by U.S News & World Reports, Winning the Women’s Choice Award as one of America’s Best Hospitals for an array of specialized services, CMS Four-Star Quality Rating, achieving ‘A’ Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, and more. 

The Nurse Director Maternal Child Health will oversee the Women and Infant Service line, including oversight of the Labor Delivery, Mother Baby, and Neonatal Intensive Care Level III NICU departments. Supporting the Nurse Director Maternal Child Health will be the Nurse Manager Labor and Delivery, Nurse Manager NICU, Nurse Manager Mother Baby Postpartum, Nurse Educators, Assistant Nurse Managers, Registered Nurses, technicians, and other ancillary staff. Responsibilities of the Nurse Director Maternal Child Health include overseeing department budgets, developing short and long term strategic growth plans, implementing quality performance improvement initiatives, updating policy procedures, preparing all accreditation and survey material, assisting with creating educational programming opportunities, cross collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and most importantly--supporting and acting as the resource for the Women, Children and Infant Service Line team. 

The Nurse Director of Maternal Child Health must hold their RN license, have previous leadership experience, and hold a clinical background working in a labor delivery, mother baby, or NICU unit. 

Reside in a city of Connecticut that is home to many young working professionals and families. The Nurse Director Maternal Child Services has the option to reside in the city or one of the surrounding suburbs of Connecticut or Massachusetts.
