Job Responsibilities

Your specific duties as a Power Plant Operations Manager will include:

  • Provide overall management, direction, and oversight for all generating assets within the Southern Operations Region. Responsibilities include ensuring profitability, contract compliance, decision making, problem solving, regulatory compliance, environmental and safety compliance, legal interface, guidance and direction to supervisors/managers, and monitoring plant activities ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of facilities, compliance with all regulatory requirements and management of all site personnel. It is expected this role will continue to expand with the acquisition of new projects within the geographic area.

Job Requirements

As a Power Plant Operations Manager you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience and demonstrated outstanding management and supervision of technical, operating, or maintenance power plant personnel.
  • Demonstrated technical, commercial, and managerial experience with both regulated and independent power markets, preferably ISO-NE.
  • In-depth knowledge of power generating facility equipment technology, hydro and pumped storage preferred.
