Judge Direct Placement is seeking a degreed QA Manager for a beverage manufacturer in Maryland. The qualified individual will be plan, manage, and coordinate daily activities of the QA department. He or she will ensure efficient operations. The Manager will perform all jobs efficiently, safely and accurately to improve and maintain the performance of the entire plant. The qualified individual will act as a role model and represent the company’s values. QA Supervisors out of large manufacturing plants are strongly urged to apply.

Ensures accountability while directing associates and supervisors in the accurate usage of safe manufacturing practices 
Maximizes efficiency of the line, validates correct scheduling and minimizes labor costs 
Communicates cross-functionally to get departmental needs met: PM, waste/material needs/changeovers 
Addresses and communicates any safety or quality defects cross-functionally within the organization for evaluation
Participates in and supports the plant safety process
Oversees all areas of the plant to ensure safety standards are being met on all products at all times
Follows established policies, programs and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet company and regulatory requirements
Supports the development, maintenance, implementation, and continuous improvement 
Accountable to the company’s Quality and Food Safety Principles  
Manages and trains direct reports 
Completes performance reviews and provides feedback 

BS degree required (technical degree)
4+ year’s food manufacturing experience 
Aseptic or Thermal Process preferred
Knowledge of department procedures and operations 
Ability to understand complex written and verbal instructions
Working knowledge of continuous improvement/lean manufacturing practices and procedures
