Job Description:

The Desktop Support Specialist is responsible for providing IT support across corporate and program sites.  The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining equipment, software and systems, specifically Microsoft Windows desktops and laptops, as well as associated peripherals.

Responsibilities:

Provide hardware and software support for all end users

Image laptops and desktops during initial deployment

Assist with both patch management and inventory management

Setup A/V equipment for company meetings

Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 1-3 years of previous experience

Must have a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, MIS or related field

Must be able to provide software support to include (Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat)

Must have experience supporting Microsoft Windows 7 OS

Must have excellent troubleshooting, written and verbal communication skills, as well as provide excellent customer service.

Must provide basic network troubleshooting

Prefer:

Security + certification

Active Directory Management

General Scripting (Powershell)

Sharepoint Administration

Configure and monitor server backups

SQL Administration

Experience with Virtual Platforms (Hyper-V & VMWare)
