POSITION:

Manufacturing Engineer

COMPANY PROFILE:

Our client has manufactured heavy equipment that is being sold worldwide for over 50 years. They offer custom product lines to meet the specific needs of the clients they serve. With no 2 pieces of machinery being the exact same they are able to produce custom equipment to handle about any and every need of their customer whether their operations in the Middle East, Europe, South America, Asia or right here at home. They are dedicated to more than just manufacturing the best and most reliable machinery in their industry. Their follow up after the sale, customer service, customer training and parts and service departments really set them from their competitors. They are looking for an experience Manufacturing Engineer for their plant located in Southeastern, SD.

WHAT THE COMPANY WILL OFFER YOU:

  • $55,000 - + DOE.

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:

  • Responsible for providing leadership for planning of plant machinery and processes to improve output, make improvement, develop plans for efficiencies and cost reductions.
  • Plan, develop and implement continuous improvement plans and efforts.
  • Work close with the design engineering team to resolve manufacturability issues.
  • Work closely with the production department to ensure that production problems are being identified and corrected.
  • Look at current equipment and machinery and develop plans for upgrades, replacement, retooling, etc., to improve production outputs and improve the bottom line.
  • Implement and work with other departments to develop and implement Continuous Improvement plans and Lean plans.

BACKGROUND PROFILE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3+ years experience in a heavy manufacturing setting.
  • AutoCAD, INVENTOR, Manufacturing ERP/MRP Systems, Robotic Design, EdgeCam or any other CNC software would be needed.
  • Experience with robotics, with robotic welding being preferred.
  • Consideration will only be given to candidates who are US Citizens, have established permanent residency in the US and do not or will not require sponsorship now or in the future.
