Project Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description:Ninyo & MooreGeotechnical & Environmental Sciences Consultants has an immediate opening for a Project Geotechnical Engineer in the design division of our expanding Las Vegas office. The successful candidate will manage geotechnical design projects, primarily for public agency infrastructure. Duties will include meeting and interacting with the client; managing budgets; coordinating and participating in field activities, such as logging of exploratory excavations; evaluating geologic, geotechnical, and seismic hazards; performing engineering analyses, including liquefaction, slope stability, and settlement analyses; and preparing geotechnical engineering proposals and reports. Duties of the Project Geotechnical Engineer will also include providing technical support to staff-level engineers, geologists, and field technicians. Experience with challenging public agency infrastructure design projects is desired.

Education:B.S./B.A. required (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Construction Engineering), M.S. preferred.

Required Skills:The successful candidate should be a licensed professional engineer with 3+ years of experience in geotechnical project management. The ideal candidate will bring local experience and familiarity with the local engineering practices, but experience outside of the Nevada area will be considered. Candidate should be a team player, detail-oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
