The Inspector/Packer is responsible for the proper inspection and packaging of plastic bottles. This position will also be required to follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect bottles for quality defects.
- Assemble, pack, close and stack boxes.
- Use gauges, scales and other measuring equipment to verify quality specifications.
- Use choppers, spin trimmers and hands to deflash bottles.
- Pack boxes according to packout instructions.
- Label boxes.
- Operate label maker & tape gun.
- Perform secondary operations to bottles (apply spouts and caps, etc).
- Unjam conveyors, trimmers and leak testers.
- Grind bottles.
- Dispose of defective bottles correctly.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Help others as needed.
- Assist during line studies.
- Fill out appropriate paperwork thoroughly and correctly.
- Keep area clean.
- Participate in all safety initiatives.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Participate in CPS.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mathematical skills are required.
Prior manufacturing experience and/or training are not required, but are desirable.
Prior third shift experience highly desirable.
