As a member of the EmployeeExperience Team, the VP Human Resources Business Partner will be responsiblefor providing human resources support and guidance to senior leaders enablingthem to make informed business decisions.  Primary responsibilities willconsist of proactively leading all aspects of strategic and tactical HR forCorporate Shared Service client groups.  The HR Business Partner will actas a key advisor and coach to senior leaders of a brand and will be proactivein working with them to maximize engagement, retention, and performance. Thisindividual will develop strong working relationships and a strong understandingof the business to assess and anticipate HR-related needs. The HR BusinessPartner is a capable professional who utilizes thorough understanding of HRskills/knowledge to provide assistance, interpretation, and counsel tomanagement and employees regarding the company’s policies, programs, andpractices spanning multiple HR areas, including talent acquisition, talentmanagement, compensation, benefits, employee relations, human resource planningor other services.  Researches HR issues and develops and formulatesrecommendations to resolve said issues in accordance with applicablelegislation or company policies, programs, or practices.

Key JobResponsibilities:                                                                                  

  • Operate as a Human Resourcesbusiness partner and coach/consultant to Shared Services, Sr. Vice Presidents,Vice Presidents, Directors, and Managers.

  • Identify and develop HRstrategies that support the achievement of Shared Services strategicobjectives. 

  • Advises management regardingroutine or somewhat unique HR and people issues to ensure the consistentapplication of practices in compliance with legal requirements and companypolicy.  Includes providing guidance, counseling, and coaching in regardsto disciplinary actions, terminations, and fact-finding investigations.

  • Monitors and evaluates employeesatisfaction and attrition levels and recommends strategies andemployee-focused programs and activities aimed to improve employee engagementand retention.

  • Provides an "opendoor" policy for employees to communicate work-related concerns. Counsels employees and maintains positive employee relations.  Acts asliaison between employees and management team.

  • Supports senior HR staff in theadministration of HR processes, providing oversight and direction forperformance management, pay adjusts, and promotions.

  • Oversee the management ofSuccession planning for stakeholder group.  Maintain data baseinformation, coordinate with the management team, participate in Successionplanning meetings and help identify and develop key talent.

  • Partner with Recruiters andRecruiting Business Partners to execute full life cycle recruitment activitiesrelating to sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring for executive,professional, exempt and non-exempt level positions for Shared Services.

  • Oversee and enhance the NewHire Onboarding process to introduce new hires to our business, industry,culture, and how we work together to make lives better…one interaction at atime.

  • Partners and supportsTechnology & Analytics team to conduct quantitative and qualitativeanalyses on a broad array of issues; works to share interpretation of data withshared service leaders and/or department management, developing action steps tosupport improvements/changes.


  • Knowledge, understanding,compliance and enforcement of all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws andregulations related to compensation.

  • Bachelor’s degree required,Master’s degree preferred.

  • Solid business acumen andstrategic thinker who can develop and execute operational talent plans.

  • A strong assessor oftalent—understands how to attract and retain world-class talent and bring outthe best potential while enhancing capacity.

  • Track record of takinginitiative, working independently and handling multiple prioritiessimultaneously.

  • Demonstrate a passion forsuccess and strive to exceed expectations.

  • Excellent at team building andmotivating people. Skilled at accomplishing goals through others. Proficient atbeing a teacher, mentor and coach

  • Highly articulate withoutstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and strongexecutive presence.

  • Strong collaborative problemsolving and customer service skills that demonstrate the ability to gather andanalyze information and identify and resolve issues or improve processes in atimely manner.

  • Possess personal qualities ofintegrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission.

  • Flexible and able to multitask;can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, and is action-oriented.

Minimum Qualification:

  • 10 Years’ experience in aclient-focused HR Generalist role

  • High level of business and HRacumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and initiative

  • Strong executive presence 


  • Experience as a specialist inone of the following core HR disciplines: Recruiting, Employee Relations,Learning & Development, and/or Compensation

  • Strong executive presence

  • Proven ability to work andimplement in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities which requirestrong project management and decision-making capabilities.
