This role is responsible for analyzing the demurrage invoices and rebilling to counterparties or computed the demurrage to a location. This role also analyses incoming demurrage billed by counterparties and forward it to payment.
The Marine Logistics Technician (MLT) – Marine role is to provide expertise in the bulk inter-area order receipt and handling process to ensure shipping and invoicing documentation are completed in a timely and efficient manner so as not to delay loading or offloading of bulk marine vessels.
- Responsible for ensuring SAP bulk marine orders are timely, accurate, error free, and in compliance with work (Clean Order Review Work Process).
- Ensure no fines or penalties are incurred due to missing or inaccurate data for loaded and discharged marine vessels based on contractual terms
- Responsible for immediate resolution of all issues related to orders, shipping documents (Certificates of Analysis, Bills of Lading, Survey Reports, Goods Issue, Customs and Trade Agreement documents), invoicing, accounts payable, etc
- Primary interface with third party logistics providers (Freight Forwarders, Contract Terminals, Surveyors) to audit, investigate, and resolve issues
- Responsible for ensuring that a root cause investigation and corrective action is performed by internal/external providers associated with marine work process issues
- Participate in tracking of key performance indicators
- Provides export expertise to businesses & JV Affiliates regarding marine shipments
- Marine logistics subject matter expert for mergers and acquisition implementation teams and/or other projects
- Interacts with other global regions to resolve marine vessel order issues for inter-area shipments
