Job TitleBusiness Intelligence Analyst
To be a leader in supporting the Commercial Sales and Marketing organization by building, maintaining, and improving key platforms for insight development and decision making. To propose and implement key recommendations and process improvements based on those insights. To prepare miscellaneous adhoc reports from different data sources and then recommend overall standards for the team.
Using the most effective tool(s), develop visual insights that lead to decisions that lead to actions for improvements - tell clear stories through the insights and make recommendations for improvements - Tableau, Salesforce.com, QlikView, and Alteryx experience preferred.
Ensure insights are accurate, easily accessible, repeatable, and actionable.
Deliver compelling communications with mid level and senior leadership encouraging a bias for action and improvements.
Demonstrate accountability to prioritize competing tasks and ensure on time completion of deliverables.
Create and maintain a positive user/customer experience.
Communicate with manager or technical expert at appropriate times in order to seek solutions to problems and/or clarify task requirements.
Must be able to work with confidential data and safeguard as appropriate.
Provide mentoring to Business Analysts I&II where appropriate. This may include review of Business Analyst analysis and documentation, providing feedback and coaching.
Prepare a variety of adhoc reports for Sales & Marketing using Salesforce.com, QlikView, and Tableau and format them in the most effective way.
Document the types of reports requested to recommend future innovations to standardized dashboards and visualizations to help our customers make business decisions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of Shaw Commercial Division business processes are preferred.
Ability to gather feedback/requirements from our customers and incorporate into a solution.
Ability to contribute to cross functional teams to develop collaborative solutions.
2 or 4 Year Degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent program preferred
Experience with QlikView, Tableau, Salesforce.com preferred
Must possess advanced problem solving skills and the ability to analyze and document problems and requirements that are understandable at all levels of the organization.
Applies a systematic, fact based approach to understanding problems and taking responsible actions to solve them.
Strong business acumen - Advanced knowledge of information flows pertaining to sales analysis and financial/pricing analysis.
Skilled at the intermediate level in use of software such as spreadsheets, databases, report writers, and other analytic tools.
Acts as an integral member of a team and takes responsibility for own actions or mistakes.
Possesses strong organizational skills and time-management skills, likely juggling multiple requests simultaneously.
Seeks opportunities for positive change and strives to maximize their benefit.
