Certified Pharmacy Technician
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week- Mostly day shift, need flexibility to cover some evening shifts- Every 3rd weekend
A Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in his/her professional responsibilities in providing pharmacy services. Working under the direction of a licensed
pharmacist, participates in the preparation, dispensing, distribution and return of patient specific medications including intravenous admixtures, supplies and
maintains automated technology equipment, packages unit of use dosages, maintains and transports pharmaceuticals, and performs tasks associated with
regulatory compliance. Documents activities as indicated and performs other duties as required. Previous hospital training preferred with experience using
automated dispensing cabinets and working in a USP Clean room.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience preferred.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Required upon hire or within the first 6
months of employment
