We’ll look to you to play significant roles in client engagement teams in the Transactions area of our practice, in a wide variety of projects including:Reinsurance strategyOffshore jurisdiction regulatory (including US, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, and other jurisdictions)Reinsurance entity structuringTransaction pricing supportTransaction asset/liability strategy and optimizationCedent / reinsurer target operating modelCedent / reinsurer managed servicesReinsurance administrationFinancial reporting (US, Bermuda, Cayman, and other jurisdictions)Mergers and AcquisitionsSkills and attributes for successFoster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment
Play an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization
Provide constructive on the-job feedback/coaching to team members.Foster relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels
Consistently deliver quality client services
Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget
Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
Manage expectations of client service delivery
Stay abreast of current business, regulatory and industry trends relevant to the client's business.Assist clients in tackling unique and complex business issues through your experience, innovative solution development, leadership and a strong EY support teamCultivate and manage business development opportunities
Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/ present ways to serve clients
Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks

Stay informed of and apply professional standards and firm policies (e.g., Actuarial Standards of Practice).Develop a strong personal brand and enhance the EY brand by writing articles, participating in industry groups and speaking at seminarsTo qualify for the role you must haveBachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other related majorApproximately 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years of people and/or project managementFellowship in the Society of ActuariesProficiency in the use of spreadsheets and familiarity with at least one actuarial-related software, including AXIS, Prophet, ALFA or MOSES, Strong writing, presentation, conceptual, analytical, project management, and interpersonal skillsExcellent problem-solving and client-service skillsA proven ability to manage time while working on multiple, often shifting, projects, and the confidence to work both collaboratively and independently under pressureWillingness and ability to travel to meet client needsIdeally, you’ll also havePrevious consulting experiencePrior experience with reinsurance treaties, structures, and productsPrior experience supporting execution of onshore and offshore reinsurance strategiesPrior experience supporting the pricing and structuring of reinsurance arrangementsFamiliarity with US, Bermuda and/or Cayman reinsurance marketProficiency with at least one actuarial-related software, including AXIS, Prophet or ALFAProficiency with Python, R or other programming and actuarial related softwareWhat we look forWe’re most interested in intellectually curious actuaries with a clear passion for actuarial work

Apply now.What we offerWe offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business
The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $145,000 to $265,900
The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $174,000 to $302,200
Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography
In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options

Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year
