A mid-Atlantic based supermarket chain is seeking a Meat Supervisor to oversee total Meat Dept. operations for 15+ locations. Qualified candidates will have 3 to 5 years experience Supervising multiple meat departments for primarily lower volume operations.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
a. Traveling to different locations in the region to insure operations are running smoothly
b. Training store Meat Managers and staff on proper merchandising and cutting
c. Insuring department conditions are up to company standards
d. Helping meat managers with any shrink or personnel problems
e. Insuring adequate inventory levels
f. Monitoring and insuring personnel production levels
g. Communicating to the Meat Director and/or District Mgr. all personnel discipline
h. Partnering with the District Managers and Meat Director to insure department goals are being met i. Provide leadership and guidance for the assigned area of meat operations
j. Must be thoroughly familiar with all products carried in the department, including being fully knowledgeable in the difference ( price, taste, preparation or use ) between the many varieties and types of meat
k. Must be able perform Meat Manager responsibilities in absence of Meat Manager
l. Set example for following all company policies, procedures and S.O.P
