We invite you to come join the NorCal Imaging Fremont team as a Patient Services Representative/Insurance Authorization Representative. Growth and learning opportunity available for a caring professional that wants to further develop their skills and knowledge in healthcare, while making a difference in patient's lives. These full time career opportunities will have a Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM schedule, and will be located in an outpatient practice located in Fremont, CA.
In this Patient Service Representative/Insurance Authorization position you'll get to:

• Answer phones and greet incoming patients and visitors.
• Perform patient registration and insurance verification, and collect co-pays.
• Guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns.
• Coordinate with office staff for timely care of patients.
• Cross-train and help as needed in other departments (i.e. scheduling, medical records, etc).
• Utilize telephone voice response systems and website solutions to obtain information on patients' eligibility status with insurance companies.
• Work with patients to obtain complete and correct insurance information, discuss eligibility results and alternative payment methods.
• Properly analyze various payer eligibility responses to find the information needed to complete verifications.
• Obtain and confirm insurance pre-authorizations when necessary.
• Follow all HIPAA, compliance, privacy and confidentiality standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy to patients, families/guests and other team members.
• Maintain insurance verification log of accounts/procedures verified.
• Scan all completed paperwork into eRad RIS.
• Promote a positive and supportive relationship with the referring community and fellow employees.
• Perform other tasks/projects as assigned by management.

We're looking for experienced, dependable and professional candidates with a High School Diploma, basic computer skills, medical terminology knowledge, recent medical/radiology office work experience, the ability to multi-task, excellent customer service skills, and great communication skills. Must be detail-oriented and organized, possess clerical skills, and have the ability to interact effectively with doctors, referring doctors and staff, patients, vendors, peers, and management. Health care experience highly preferred.
