These Pharmacoeconomist positions are within MITRE's Open Health Solutions department (OHS). In OHS we believe open collaboration is the best path to implement solutions at national scale. We work in multi-disciplinary teams of clinicians, public health practitioners, software engineers, data scientists, AI developers, health data standards experts, health policy analysts, and health economists. Our work includes a wide variety of projects that further our goals of making paradigm-changing improvements to our health and healthcare systems while developing a patient-centered future for individual, family, and community health.
+ Work collaboratively with senior government sponsors and MITRE colleagues to develop problem definitions and draft documents for health and economic impact analyses
+ Develop new pharmacoeconomic models and perform statistical and clinical analyses
+ Present findings from health economic and outcomes research modeling work in non-technical language to senior government sponsors and interdisciplinary teams of MITRE colleagues (verbally, in presentations, and in written white papers)
+ Develop working relationships within MITRE across all levels of staff, management and executives to leverage the corporation's deep experience across a broad set of domains.
+ A graduate degree or equivalent graduate degree in health or healthcare and RPh designation or graduate degree in health economics or outcomes research and two years of experience in the health and life sciences industry
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate analyses and findings to various stakeholders
+ Ability to clearly present findings from economic analyses (verbally and in writing) to senior government officials
+ Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams
+ Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
+ Ability to lead, manage, and conduct multiple types of health economic analyses (e.g., budget impact modeling, cost-effectiveness analysis, comparative effectiveness analysis)
+ Ability to create high quality work products with excellent attention to detail
+ Pharm.D. degree
+ Graduate degree in health economics, outcomes research, or health services research
+ Consultancy and customer relationship interaction experience
+ Biopharmaceutical, healthcare provider or health insurance experience
+ Work in open-source statistical, programming, and data science tools (e.g., R and Python)
+ Experience as a federal contractor officer representative or similar role
