job summary:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for general accounting functions including: general ledger accounting. This position will support the monthly general ledger close process, as well as any other support necessary within the Accounting Department.

responsibilities:

• Preparation of month-end journal entries
• Reconciliation of account schedules
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations in a timely manner
• Assist with month-end financial review/reporting and financial statement preparation
• Maintain all fixed assets and the depreciation schedules
• Support Senior Staff Accountants with assignments and/or special projects
• Perform other related duties as assigned

 

qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; pursuit of Masters and CPA a plus
• At least 3 years of experience in general accounting
• Working knowledge of the accounting process

• Must be detail oriented and organized
• Possess the ability to ensure accuracy and completeness of all processed or reviewed financial transactions
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of US GAAP
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
