Process Engineer
As a Process Engineer you will:
- Develop process cycles, simulations and heat & material balances
- Conception and management of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Prepare process/rotating machinery equipment data sheets and equipment/utility lists
- Performance of process systems calculations, including vessel sizing, line sizing, hydraulic evaluations, control valve sizing and relief valve sizing
- Development of process descriptions for purposes of new project proposals
- Participation in HAZOPs (Hazards & Operability Analysis)
- Participation in Plant Start-Up, Troubleshooting and Performance Tests
- Contribution to process engineering work process improvements and standards
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on process engineering experience,
- Knowledge of cryogenic process technologies which can include hydrogen liquefaction, helium processing and liquefaction, natural gas liquefaction, air separation, etc.
- Fundamental knowledge of chemical engineering principles (thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer)
- Working knowledge of ASPEN, HYSYS or other process simulation software
- Understanding of basic applicable engineering codes
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written, for the purpose of explaining challenges and solutions internally
- Ability to interface with other engineering disciplines and with customers
