Position: Technical Support Specialist - Level 1ABOUT THE COMPANY:Our client is a leading Managed Service Provider in the Grand Rapids, MI area. They are seeking a full-time, permanent Technical Support Specialist to join their growing team of IT professionals! Here are a few reasons why you should apply:

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST:

  • Providing outstanding Level 1 Technical Support to small-medium business in the West Michigan area.
  • Issue and manage Level 1 support tickets and escalating to Level 2 as needed.
  • Assist with keeping clients informed of support ticket status, progress, and communicating timeline of resolution to clients.
  • Work collaboratively with teammates and assisting with peer to peer mentoring.
  • Reporting utilization of IT support resources.
  • Utilizing ConnectWise to track progress of tickets, entering detailed documentation, etc.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE FOR THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST:

  • 0-3 years of Help Desk, Technical Support or related experience.
  • Experience with any of the following: ConnectWise, IT Glue, Solarwinds, WatchGuard, Ruckus, Veeam, Cisco Networking Products, Extreme Network Products, Ubiquiti, VMWare, Dell, Axix, 3OX and Adobe.
  • Experience with Office 365 and Microsoft's Software/Applications.
  • Experience working with and providing support utilizing Remote Management Tools.
  • Confident and comfortable with client facing activity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

BONUS EXPERIENCE FOR THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST:

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certifications, Cisco Certifications, etc.
  • Experience working for a managed service provider.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Access Points, VPN, Citrix, VoIP, etc.
