An experienced manager responsible for building and leading a team to deliver data/information products and services that meet business outcomes. Primary responsibility is people management, ensuring development through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development. Creates the technology strategy, ensuring technology solutions comply with enterprise data management standards, global records management standards, and data quality and control practices for authorized data sources. Advocates and advances modern, Agile solution delivery practices, great design, engineering and organizational practices. Accountable for team/program level resource and financial management; builds and maintains teams through talent acquisition. Sets maturity objectives and enables individuals/teams to with training & resources to achieve them. Sets and tracks quality and performance objectives.
Facilitates performance and career development of individuals through performance reviews, coaching, and building individual development plans that are needed to develop competencies and skills. Understands individual and team maturity and performance through team/client feedback. Manages relationships with the business and technology leaders, and vendors for technical products. Accountable for data/information solution delivery as relevant to their teams e.g. prioritizing tech debt, compliance and security items, and supporting audits. Ensures all relevant risk, financial, and compliance polices and standards are met. Accountable for the application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, global records management standards, audit exams and reviews). Creates the technology strategy for their technical domain. Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders. Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment, and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers. Leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization. Manages a team. Risk Finance Technology (RFT):

The Risk & Finance Data Quality Control Executive requires a Head of Information Architecture. The role will report directly to the Data Quality Control Executive and will be primarily responsible to:

  • Develop and implement the strategy for establishing, governing and driving adoption of Authoritative Data Sources (ADS)
  • Discover and document Data lineage (usage and flow) from the point of data capture through the lifecycle to data usage
  • Act as the Metadata Management Workbench product owner - Leading the development of a best in class metadata and data governance capability using enterprise models and industry best practices, ensuring data is discoverable, understandable and has clear provenance
  • Establish and run the Risk & Finance Data Design Authority to govern the adoption of data governance practices

Principal Accountabilities: Key Activities and Decision Making Areas Impact on the Business / Function

  • Accountable for enhancing and implementing the Authoritative Source Framework
  • Establish and oversee the Data Modelling Execution & Delivery capability
  • Establish and run the Data Design Authority
  • Lead Global interaction on business ownership of data (business owner and stakeholder engagement, outreach programs, etc.)
  • Deliver comprehensive and actionable insights on data provenance, end to end data creation, data usage and data flow
  • Derive business value from metadata through enhanced accessibility, trust, transparency and efficiency in data

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrable track record of delivery in an information or business data architecture experience in an international role in a Tier 1 Financial Services firm
  • Experience in metadata management, architectural strategy, policy design, process design, business architecture and management information reporting
  • Awareness of data regulation and best practices in data management and governance
  • Understanding of strategies to use data as an asset, data management value realization
  • Expertise and experience in business information systems and analytics (strongly preferable)
  • Demonstrable wide knowledge of financial services products and practices, preferably with more than 10 years’ experience in financial services
  • Program management experience (preferable)
  • Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across geographies and business units
