Project Engineer

Emerson is currently seeking a Project Engineer at our Stafford, TX location. The individual selected for this will be responsible for providing technical engineering support for customer project quotations for **Emerson's Pressure Management product portfolio.** The preferred applicant will be joining a diverse team in a fast paced and challenging work environment.
The successful candidate will bring strong interpersonal skills matched with sound technical problem solving and decision making abilities. Additionally, the drive to ensure project work is accurate and timely while remaining customer focused enables them to deliver the results needed to be successful in this role. This position will work in a multi-stakeholder environment and will collaborate on all fronts. **As a Project Engineer, you will:**
+ Evaluate project proposals, including quotation submittal and pricing.
+ Provide an interface between the sales channel and the company for multi-regulator customer projects.
+ Partner with key stakeholders including but not limited to sales managers, product managers, engineering, planners, buyers, manufacturing engineering, and finance to ensure customer requirements are met, maximize profit, and provide quick technical solutions to customers.
+ Read and understand sophisticated customer specifications.
+ Gain resourceful knowledge and become proficient in ASME and ASTM standards.
+ Arrange pricing and contractual documents directly with customers and/or suppliers, including review of Terms and Conditions.
+ Assist factories by defining and coordinating special customer product modifications and/or service offerings to ensure customer requirements and industry standards are understood throughout execution.
+ Apply processes to continually improve to exceed customer expectations.
+ Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers
+ Prioritize and maintain customer service orders, quotes, records, and databases.

**Required education, experience & skills:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
+ 3 years' experience working in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the year.
+ Ability to work and communicate optimally with global teams.
+ Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and customer service skills.
+ Quick learner of technical specifications and strong attention to detail.
**Preferred education, experience & skills:**
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or Industrial are highly preferred fields.
+ Knowledge of Emerson Pressure Management products (pressure relief valves and regulators) or industry applications.
+ Experience working with SAP is a plus.
