JOB SUMMARY:    Using in-depth industry and familiarity with company processes, tests and verifies accurate results from various information technology applications and business processes utilized in the support of the company's insurance operations.   In addition, demonstrate knowledge of Quality Assurance techniques and processes. This position requires the ability to work effectively under pressure to resolve problems in a timely manner, along with the ability to work effectively with minimum supervision and frequent interruptions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   - Thoroughly tests software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects - Utilize necessary analytical skills to develop and maintain knowledge of in-house / vendor systems, formulas, rate specifications, manual rules, and state filing information in order to identify unusual, inconsistent or error conditions - Perform testing of revisions and new state programs, including cosmetic evaluation of rating products and display of data on printed forms by targeted completion dates - Develops test plans and test cases based on decomposed requirements - Creates test data per specifications - Executes test runs and  validates actual results against expected results - Documents all problems and works to resolve them; reports progress to management - Assists in monitoring Production results - Work is subject to strict quality standards and deadlines - Working hours may vary outside of core based on business needs    ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE   - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or equivalent education and experience in the business information technology field. - 3 years of experience in Underwriting, Underwriting Support, Premium Accounting or Claims. - 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance practices.  - Basic knowledge of the insurance and claims applications preferred.  Property & Casualty Insurance Industry experience preferred. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to coordinate complex problems involving various audiences. Ability to evaluate situations and make appropriate recommendations.
