Robert Half Finance is looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a thriving, fast-paced company that recognizes talent and effort. Based in the Braintree Massachusetts area, this role is a career-building, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. The ideal candidate for this position can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes are also expected tasks. Those with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets are preferred. What you get to do every single day - Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request - In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts - Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers - Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision - Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner - Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management - Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process - Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP - Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments - Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation - Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives - Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries - Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll - Interested candidates are encouraged to email their resume to paul.graham@roberthalf.com

Job Requirements

- Account reconciliation experience - Solid understanding of month end closings - Detailed and have the ability work independently - Proficient in ERP systems - Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills - Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases - Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment - Spreadsheet and database capabilities - Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills - Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics - a minimum of two years relevant accounting experience - Interested candidates are encouraged to email their resume to paul.graham@roberthalf.com
