Financial Performance Advisor

SUMMARY:

Evaluates financial performance of the Enterprise and Brands and makes recommendations for financial performance improvements. Develops, implements, and prepares financial performance measurement tools and reports including but not limited to the Consolidated Scorecard, Brand Scorecards, and Functional Scorecards. Manages statutory, investment, and pension plan forecasting processes. Responsible for balance sheet and cash flow forecasting.

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

  • Acts as primary technical advisor on finance related matters, including but not limited to, scorecards, forecasts, statistical and accounting information, projects, process changes, etc.

  • Responsible for preparation of Consolidated, Brand and Functional Scorecards

  • Responsible for preparation of statutory, investment, and pension forecasts

  • Responsible for balance sheet and cash flow forecasts

  • Facilitates the financial forecast and scorecard processes

  • Develops and interprets statistical and accounting information in order to identify and/or analyze operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the Enterprise. Develops recommendations for corrective action.

  • Supports system installations, conversions and upgrades, including report design, development and testing.

  • Prepares ad-hoc or on demand analysis and forecasting as requested by senior management.

  • Works as financial liaison for Ward Financial Group. Process involves preparation of annual financial information for Ward Financial Group. Uses Ward data to recommend various cost saving options.

  • Communicates and collaborates with various departments and teams, including the Actuarial department.

  • Works with minimum supervision.

  • Maintains confidentiality of information processed.
