As a part of this commitment, Deloitte has established a Sustainability, Climate & Equity (SC&E) practice that provides our clients a broad range of risk and advisory services focused on today's most pressing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) needs. With the focus on climate change, societal impacts, and stakeholder influence, companies are increasingly focusing on decarbonization, assessing their potential risks, and reducing their environmental footprint. Work you'll do

The Sustainability, Climate & Equity (SC&E) advisory team, part of Risk & Financial Advisory, is growing and requires outstanding, innovative, and engaging professionals to join our team. The SC&E team is privileged to be working on one of the most pressing and topical business and societal issue of our time. Through our services, we help our clients understand, engage with and act on their sustainability-related risks and opportunities.

Our sustainable value chain team helps clients address risks and execute on opportunities at every stage of the value chain to deliver on circular value chains. As the ESG Circularity Advisory Manager, you will be leading complex ESG projects, helping clients navigate ways to advance their environmental sustainability value chain goals, and serve as a thought leader to deliver cutting edge circular solutions.

Specifically, your role will include the following responsibilities:

+ Manage client engagements focused on all aspects of the end-to-end sustainable value chain, ranging from sustainable sourcing and procurement to packaging and logistics

+ Mentor junior colleagues in this area and serve as a thought leader

+ Provide expertise on the end-to-end cyclical value chain, economics of circularity, and value and impact of elements of circularity such as recyclables and remanufacturing

+ Serve clients as a thought leader that can describe risks, opportunities, and pathways to accomplishing organizational circularity objectives

What are we looking for?

We are looking for client-facing leaders with experience in sustainable and circular value chains.

To do this job effectively, it will be important that you have deep expertise and knowledge in:

+ Technical and operational feasibility and engineering studies

+ Evaluation of sustainable materials, sourcing of materials, and correlating economical, market, technical, operational, and other impacts

+ Supply chain due diligence, risk, compliance, controls, and regulatory requirements

+ Scope 1, 2, 3, and 4 emission baselining and defining pathways to reduction

+ Sustainable value chain transition through technology-led solutions including the use of digital twins, blockchain solutions, and other advanced technology instruments

Qualifications:

+ Degree in sustainability, environmental sciences, engineering or equivalent

+ 10+ years of relevant work experience in sustainable value chains, industrial process efficiency, sustainable manufacturing, or equivalent

+ Deep knowledge in decarbonization, sustainability, circular end-to-end models, and general supply chain expertise

+ Experience with scopes 1, 2, 3, and 4 emissions and designing/implementing concepts that address

+ Experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis to support decision-making and successfully and effectively communicating your findings to a broad spectrum of people

+ Highly motivated, ambitious, and a quick learner given this evolving field

+ Experience leading and working collaboratively on teams to develop and deliver innovative solutions to complex problems

+ Ability to travel 20-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $128,235 to $213,725.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
