Our client is a large and growing stable company that was founded over 30 years ago. They now encompass 45 diverse businesses around the world and has over $2B in sales. We have an opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that products meet purchase specification, design and quality/reliability requirements. This position will serve as a direct interface with suppliers and customer quality assurance functions in support of failure investigations, corrective actions and operational readiness reviews.

- Actively assure compliance to ISO.9001, company policies and customer requirements.
- Assure customer and supplier quality performances.
- Implement quality planning, control plan, FMEA, inspection methodology, and root cause analysis.
- Work with Operations and Engineering to increase efficiency through the improvement of in-house and supplier manufacturing processes, and product quality/reliability.
- Develop and manage KPIs, databases and countermeasures as required for continuous improvements
- Lead components of the Quality Management System such as Review Boards, CAPAs, Non-conforming Materials, Return Goods, and customer complaints, fostering a quality culture that strives for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions for process related concerns.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance processes and the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen Lean methods, Six Sigma etc.
- Participate in Material Review Board activities and feedback to suppliers.
- Verbally and electronically communicate root cause and corrective actions to customers and ability to glean root cause and corrective actions from suppliers.
- Perform data analysis, interpret, and present results to management, customers, and vendors with a high degree of technical details and writing.
- Ability to travel approximately 20% both domestic and international.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. ASQ CQE, CQA or CQM/OE is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years Quality Engineering experience.
- In depth experience with ISO9001:2015 and/or ISO13485:2016
- Demonstrated experience within a manufacturing operation. Optic Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of data trending using a statistical based approach
- ASQ Certification, Certified Quality Engineer, or equivalent certification is preferred
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification is preferred
- Experience with REACH/ROHS regulations to support compliance and issuance of Declarations of Conformity is a plus.
