Patient Care Technician
As a Patient Care Technician at Children's Health, you will play an important part in helping children get the care they need. You will work with nurses and respiratory therapists to provide safe and compassionate care by assisting in managing the customer service experience.
This is a FULL - TIME, NIGHT - SHIFT position in our Variable Staffing Department at our Dallas location, Children's Medical Center Dallas. The pay for this position is $20/hr.
Highlighted Responsibilities
* Prepare rooms.
* Perform basic patient care or other tasks delegated by the registered nurse (RN) within the scope of job duties.
* Respond quickly to patient and family needs.
* Assist in emergency situations.
* May perform other duties as assigned.
Experience
* If you're a student, you must be enrolled in an accredited nursing education program.
* If you're not a student, at least one year of experience as a certified nursing assistant, an EMT or a medical assistant in a hospital setting is preferred.
Education
* Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Licenses and Certifications
* Required: For non-nursing students: completion of certified nursing assistant training, basic EMT training, paramedic or medical assistant training or the equivalent, including proof of course completion.
* Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support
