**Job Description**

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.

Oracle Hospitality is developing this era's most exciting Cloud-Native, Mobile-enabled, Next-Generation hotel management enterprise application - OPERA Cloud - to enable our customers in the hospitality industry to provide superior service and experience to their guests, anywhere.

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to work with its Hospitality Global Business Unit's R&D Team. The ideal candidate is an innovative, self-starter as an Individual Contributor capable to meet the industry standards for full stack, web application development. You will be responsible for working with cross-functional teams including DevOps and Product. We are looking for a software engineer with a passion for developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Perform software development tasks: designing, developing, and debugging of enterprise-grade modern web applications and backend services.

+ Perform moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes.

+ Write efficient, maintainable, and testable code.

+ Collaborate with strong written and oral communication skills as well as relationship building competencies.

**Ideal Experience**

+ BS in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.

+ Experience in Python or PHP for web application development using frameworks like Django, CakePHP, of Flask.

+ 2+ years' experience in developing front end JavaScript using frameworks like OJET, AngularJS, or ReactJS.

+ Experience developing backend components in Python or PHP using modern web application frameworks like Django, CakePHP, or Flask.

+ Experience developing applications with MySQL or a NoSQL database

+ Familiarity with embedded ML solutions a plus.

+ Solid understanding of software development principles and design patterns.

+ Strong technical acumen; creativity; interpersonal skills; emotional intelligence

**Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated location(s)**

California Pay Range: from $87,300 to $170,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Colorado Pay Range: from $65,400 to $153,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

New York City Pay Range: from $82,500 to $161,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Washington Pay Range: from $90,700 to $161,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
