Warehouse Supervisor

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$70,000 – $75,000
Position Overview:
The Warehouse Supervisor will supervises the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse department, including administrative and clerical functions, to ensure efficient operations and a safe working environment. The Warehouse Supervisor schedules employees and monitors employee activities and equipment use to meet and exceed company objectives.
Responsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor:
- Routinely communicates with associates to ensure compliance with established safety, food safety, quality, HR and Warehouse departmental policies and procedures
- Plan, implement and monitors the day-to-day operations for the department to ensure established objectives for shipping, receiving, inventory control and warehousing productivity metrics are met
- Monitors loading and unloading times: makes appropriate changes, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and any applicable government regulations
- Monitors and completes numerous computer-based and manual reports and related paperwork, including time records, bills of lading, damage reports, etc.
- Monitors product damage and audits associates performance to ensure reliable product delivery
- Approves and tracks direct reports attendance
- Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary
Qualifications for the Warehouse Supervisor:
- 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience
- Relevant safety policies, practices, and procedures
- Inventory control concepts and techniques
- Barcoding
- Warehouse racking systems/processes
- Supervisory concepts and techniques
- Relevant regulatory procedures and standards (OSHA, etc.)
- Work in a union environment
- Supervise and motivate employees in a team-based environment
- Interpret warehouse operations anomalies and identify appropriate solutions
Education Requirements:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited vocational, technical, or junior college institution, or equivalent work experience is required
