Major purpose: Ability to interpret engineering drawings and wiring/hydraulic diagrams.
Ability to assemble components of mechanical systems in accordance with the design specifications.
Set-up and test assembled equipment analyzing the root cause of any defects.
Power up and power down equipment in accordance with company policy and OSHA regulations.
Ability to drill, taps, or ream holes.
Ability to align and install dynamic components such as; levers, shafts and bearings testing their operational capacity.
Ability to align and install components that mesh with one another.
Ability to install components and connections and test for any leaks in the system.
Ability to keep a clean, organized and safe work cell.
Ability to keep an accurate record of daily operations and material usage.
Performs other duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.
Education/Experience/Licenses etc.: Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
High School diploma/General Education Degree (GED) is required or two or more years experience is preferred. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or trade school is preferred. Familiarity with overhead cranes is preferred.
