The goal of the role: Our Senior Business Process Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting day to day processing and settlement, next level inquiries, projects, enhancements, requirements, Q/A, testing, daily operations and general product experts.
What will you be doing?
- General understanding business process management and business requirements of customers and translating them into specific software / systems requirements
- Documenting and analyzing the required information and data
- General understanding the settlement / processing systems technical designs as well as specifications
- Evaluating the information gathered through seminars, trainings, and online industry hosted sessions
- Effectively communicate with internal teams and external clients to deliver functional requirements
- Basic technical skills coupled with business intelligence and a deep understanding of customers’ needs so that they can be transformed into application and operational requirements
- Full support of the business requirements process
- Q/A and testing – Support test scripts / plans, define pass/fail criteria, work with development
- Daily Ops – Support reconciliation (i.e. incoming / outgoing, monetary, non-monetary etc.), review accounts, reporting
- General product expert – In-depth knowledge of settlement / processing / exception systems
- Day to day support – for settlement / processing / exception systems
- Conversion / migration – effectively support all components related to portfolio conversions and migrations
- Handle next level inquiries, project and enhancement requests
- Acting as interface between business units, technology teams and support teams
- Asking effective questions to determine the best way to assist the business units with their issue and offer practical solutions
- Ability to educate business units on bankcard settlement / processing
- Preparing training materials and/or sessions for new products/programs for business units
- Completing tasks assigned in a timely and accurate manner
- Researching issues / questions / problems from business units relating to processing and settlement
- Escalating issues when necessary to Management to resolve issues
- Meeting department SLA (service level agreement)
- Providing timely feedback to Management regarding service failures or customer concerns
- Participating in any training and educational activities necessary
- Ability to interact with other departments, clients and external vendors
You could be a great fit with these qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT or related field preferred but not required
- High School or equivalent (GED). Bachelors / Associates Degree preferred
- 3-5 years of merchant processing experience preferably in the settlement or processing arenas, or other merchant service related industries
- Experience with A360 is preferred
- Prior bankcard processing experience required
- In-depth knowledge of Processing Operations Analyst
- Some management experience preferred
- Demonstrate a polished, professional manner on the telephone and in emails
- Possess proficient oral and written communication skills
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively
- Good data entry skills and ability to navigate among multiple systems
- Attention to accuracy and detail in processing information
- Ability to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Competent in Windows based computer applications (Microsoft Office)
